Naot Kahika Bootie: One Teacher’s Rave Review
This review of the Naot Kahika bootie is sponsored by Naot.com. The opinions are completely our own based on experience.
My colleague and I were chatting about comfortable shoes around the copier recently as we prepped for our afternoon classes. I noticed she was wearing Lems shoes and that initiated a conversation about our mutual foot woes. It was a bonding moment. She asked me for brand recommendations. Hearing that she has bunions, nerve discomfort and the need for a heel lift, I thought of Naot shoes as many styles feature a wide toe box, soft leathers and removable footbeds (that happen to be amazingly supportive). A quick email to my connection at Naot resulted in a beautiful new pair of Kahika booties for my teacher friend. Here’s what Kim had to say about her new Naot Kahika booties:
I have a bunion on my right foot and nerve problems from a surgery on the top of my left foot. In addition, I need to wear a heel lift in my right shoe so I need a shoe that I can remove the insole to put the lift underneath. Any shoe I wear needs to have large toe boxes for a toe spacer and not push on the top of my left foot. The Naot Kahika bootie meets and exceeds these requirements.
The Naot Kahika provides plenty of space for my toe spacer on the right foot and also allows me to take out the insole to put in the heel lift. They are not only spacious and cater to my special foot needs but are also incredibly comfortable. They are honestly MORE comfortable than my running shoes. This is the first boot I have had that does not compromise on either comfort nor fashion. They are perfect!
I love that I can be comfortable, address the issues with my feet and scoliosis and also wear cute shoes!
Kim typically wears a size 8.5, but wanted a slightly roomier fit to accommodate her heel lift, so ordered the size 40 instead of 39 in the Naot Kahika. You can find the Kahika in four beautiful colors of soft nubuck in euro sizes 35-42 for $199.95 from Naot.com, Zappos, The Walking Company, and Nordstrom.
