The Ink Business Preferred® Credit Card is one of the best business credit cards out there. The card has long had an exceptional welcome bonus, among the best bonus of any credit card. However, the minimum spending requirement to earn the bonus has recently been decreased, making the bonus easier to earn.

If you don’t yet have this card and are eligible, this is a fantastic time to apply. Let’s go over all the details of the card.

Chase Ink Preferred Card 100K bonus points offer

The Chase Ink Preferred Card has a welcome offer of 100,000 Ultimate Rewards points after spending $8,000 within the first three months. As a point of comparison, the card previously had the same bonus with a $15,000 spending requirement, so you can now unlock the bonus with just over half as much spending.

Personally I value Chase Ultimate Rewards points at 1.7 cents each, meaning the 100,000 points are worth $1,700 to me, which is massive. There are lots of great uses of Chase points, as they can be transfered to all kinds of useful airline and hotel partners.

Who is eligible for the Chase Ink Preferred Card bonus?

The Chase Ink Preferred Card has pretty standard eligibility requirements, and follows Chase’s general card application rules:

  • Eligibility for the bonus on this card is unrelated to whether you have any other Chase card, including the other Chase Ink cards, like the Ink Business Cash® Credit Card (review) and Ink Business Unlimited® Credit Card (review)
  • This card is subjected to Chase’s 5/24 rule, which is to say that you generally won’t be approved if you’ve opened five or more new card accounts in the past 24 months (this excludes many business cards)
  • You can generally be approved for at most one Chase business card every 30 days, so I’d make sure to observe that limit when applying

While Chase business cards can be tough to get approved for, they offer such fantastic bonuses and perks, so it’s worth the effort, in my opinion.

The Chase Ink Preferred Card has a $95 annual fee, and offers all kinds of amazing perks that make it worth holding onto. Among other things, here’s what makes the card so valuable:

  • The card offers a cell phone protection benefit, which can get you up to $1,000 per claim in cell phone protection against covered theft or damage (with a $100 deductible)

Bottom line

The Chase Ink Preferred Card is one of the best business cards out there, and now the card’s huge bonus of 100K points is easier to earn. If you’re eligible for the card, I’d highly recommend applying. Not only does the card have a generous bonus, but it’s worth holding onto for the great rewards structure, excellent protection benefits, and the ability to maximize other cards in the Chase ecosystem.

Are you eligible for the sign up bonus if you have already received it once for this card but have since closed the card?

    1. Derek Guest

yes. You can even multiple at the same time. Chase cares more credit limit vs stated income. It shouldn't be over 50%, so if you tell Chase that you make $100k/yr, they won't likely offer you over $50k spending limit

I don't think people realize this card is effectively the business equivalent of the Sapphire Preferred, and most importantly, let you transfer UR points to airlines.

Already had a CIC and CIP for many years, low but steady monthly spending on the latter, and have 4 Chase personal cards. I called a few days before to lower one personal credit limit, because I worried they will deny me based on too high of available credit. Today got instant approval for a new Preferred, could be good use for some Hyatt nights. Thanks Chase & Ben!

    4 chase personal cards
    2 chase CIU
    2 chase CIC
Card went into review and i was denied
I called back 3 times and they cited my increased Credit limit, some late payments, and multiple accounts open with chase.

my 30 day window is coming up next week and im not sure if i should reapply to CIP or just go back to CIC or CIU. (ive heard CIP app is a bit more strict)
i have great credit score at 810- 820 and my business i apply as sole prop

Ask them to move credit from one of your other business accounts to open the card. No problem.

    2. W3SD Guest

You can do that by yourself online.

    3. Derek Guest

you can lower credit limit via secure message if you have older cards you don't use much, but want to keep it open for average age of credit

I am 8/24 and was instantly approved for the card today. I have two other Chase cards (one business) that I actively use, one that I use occasionally and one that stays in the sock drawer.

I have excellent credit score (800+ and 2/24) with 2 Ink Cash (since 2017) and 1 Ink Unlimited (June 2022) cards for real estate business expense. I’ve applied for this card via a referral link this morning and it went to review.
Will call Chase Business customer service at 1-800-453-9719 for application status affect the Referrer's 40K referral bonus if the card is approved after the call? Thanks in advance for your prompt response.

Instantly approved - my 10th active Chase card including 2 Ink Cash, 2 Ink Unlimited, and now this Ink Preferred. (4 personal cards, and also Marriott Business).

@Ben - There are recent comments on FT and reddit claiming that monthly $10 GoPuff credits are now available on Chase Business credit cards. Could you confirm whether the GoPuff credits are available on the Ink Preferred too?

    1. Nate nate Guest

I get it on my Chase Ink Cash. I didn't realize the Chase T+Cs aren't clear on this, but looking again, the Ink cards aren't mentioned.

What if you have the same Ink card? Can you get another?

Got mine with a 40k referral bonus from player too. 140k chase points is a pretty darn good haul.
