I have bunions, bunionettes, mid foot pain and swelling. I wear a wide shoe now. I have had to throw a lot of shoes out. I know this sounds silly BUT, I find the look of most orthopedic shoes ugly! I am 67 years old but I still enjoy dressing nicely. Having a wide foot alone reduces selection of shoes, sandals and boots! My style is not really super casual or boho. I do not like block or elevator shoes.
Does anyone have suggestions?……I know, sit back and take your medicine!

All have said that my bunions were caused by wearing narrow or more pointed-toe shoes for years as a young person.

What burns me, is how there seems to be a HUGE PROBLEM with shoe companies NOT making shoes in size 12 and above for TALL WOMEN! I knew University women basketball players who had to buy men’s shoes because they were all over 6’3-6’6 and wore Womens sizes 13-15,but couldn’t find anything nice, fashionable or comfortable and still cannot! The shoe industry must think that anyone who wears women’s size 12 and up are drag queens (men with WIDE FEET) because rarely can I find NARROW size 12 women’s shoes! Can you imagine how FRUSTRATING AND ANGRY this makes women like me? Get your world right , shoe manufacturers and make shoes for US TOO! I’m sure it would be well worth it because of all the tall, long footed women, DESPERATE TO FIND WOMENS SHOES THAT FIT AND THEY DONT HAVE TO WEAR MENS SHOES OR CRAM THEIR FEET INTO SMALL SHOES THAT HURT AND CAUSE INJURIES! Thanks

The soft top and wide toe box don’t rub on my bunions and the arch support gives all day comfort. The side zip means easy on and off for my arthritic hands and feet. These have been a real surprise and I can highly recommend them. BTW, I love your newsletter and informative articles. You’re my go to site when I need to research new shoes – thank you!
