I have a horse and buy far too much Ariat (their clothes are great, too), and can attest to their shoes/boots being the most comfortable shoes I own, as I wear their boots daily. Their riding boots are great, but their fashion boots are incredible, so cushioned and with such a supportive footbed – and my orthotic fits inside on top of the footbed! Many of their styles come in wide widths, and the leather is soft and stretchy around the toe box. I have slight bunions on both feet and I’ve had surgery on both feet for tailors bunions, so I do need a wide, supportive shoe with a wide toe box. I’ve never tried these slip-ons, but I’ll check them out the next time I’m at the store! I’m going on a ranch/riding vacation this fall and I’ll be buying a pair of Western Ariats – I’m already excited, the style I’m looking at comes in multiple wide widths and looks just as supportive and comfy as my other shoes from this brand. They’re definitely a great company!

In reply to Julie. Good question. The insole is glued down but can be removed --I just read a Zappos review from a woman who used her own orthotic after easily removing the standard issue one.

Do the shoes have removable insoles for those of us with Rx orthotics?
